Project Coordinator

Swatantrata Abhiyan Nepal (SAN) is a Nepalese non-governmental organization founded in 2012. SAN engages in advocacy, policy influence and movement building actions in the areas of elimination of child labor, ending human trafficking, promoting road safety, injury prevention, and safeguarding the rights of children on the move.

SAN and Winrock International with support from the USAID and the UK aid are implementing the Hamro Samman Project to counter human trafficking in Nepal.

The Hamro Samman project is a five-year program generously supported by the American people and the British people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the UK aid and implemented by Winrock International. It seeks to build the capacity of and facilitate coordination among the Government of Nepal (GoN), civil society, and private sector to combat human trafficking in Nepal.

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science with research skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience on child labor issues in Nepal 
  • Experience of minimum 2 years’ work leading anti-child labor project in Nepal
  • Team working skills and leadership qualities
  • Language Fluency in English and Nepali (both written and speaking)

Job Description

  • Coordinate and implement project activities
  • Organize events and program with partners
  • Provide technical support to partners
  • Represent and report to Donors and Collaborator
  • Document activities, monitor progress and report to board and senior management for required actions
  • Liaison with government authorities as required at local, provincial and federal level. 
  • Prepare advocacy materials from project
  • Support partners and local organist ions to finalize their community research actions
