Job Description

Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall coordination of different partnership projects implemented by partner NGOs with the support of BRAC Nepal. The Project Coordinator should provide comprehensive project implementation guidelines as per the BRAC Nepal Country Strategy. S/he is responsible for providing technical leadership in the field of skills, adolescents, commercial livelihood promotion, health and sanitation initiatives and other future programmes.

Major responsibilities include developing and institutionalizing a project implementation guideline, systems and tools for coordinating partners and Country Office; building the capacity of relevant staff; prepare country strategic and operational plans; ensuring that Country Office meets organizational goals and standards; and developing and establishing mechanisms for documentation, reporting, learning and sharing lessons learned across the organization together with building external relationship with Government counterparts, donors, other NGOs, etc. and also representing BRAC Nepal in development sector events.

Major Responsibilities:

Project management

  • Facilitate project activities as per implementation guidelines by developing and disseminating appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Facilitate capacity building activities, including building technical capacity of implementing team
  • Ensure gender awareness and inclusion of excluded is mainstreamed in every implementation steps 

Partnership management

  • Facilitate consultation and collaboration with donors, partners and other stakeholders over progress reporting
  • Liaise with government line agencies and ministries on behalf of the project
  • Prepare relevant technical briefing papers and status updates for the project management team

Monitoring and evaluation

  • Contribute to country management through timely processing and dissemination of reports, achievements and best practices to facilitate evidence-based planning, learning and decision-making
  • Ensure the authentication of quantity and quality of achievements, coordinating relevant personnel; disseminates feedback reports to staff members
  • Ensure the quality against the benchmark indicators set in the M&E framework and prepare monitoring report
  • Conduct annual review by assessing project performance and analyse progress

Documentation and reporting

  • Undertake Annual Project Review (APR) to capture the achievements at the outcome and output levels and disseminate the APR reports to all stakeholders
  • Ensure disaggregate data in each component of implementation and future design
  • Produce case analysis; success stories and lessons learned

Coordination and relationship 

  • Represent BRAC Nepal and International in external forum, networks, associations, donor communities, bilateral and multilateral organisations
  • Develop concept notes and proposal based on the community context, achievements, need identified in the community and fundraising opportunity as per the organisational goal, mission, objectives and values 
  • Any other organisational tasks assigned by the Country Representative as per the country and community needs
