ActionAid is a global justice federation working in over 45 countries to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication. ActionAid International Nepal (AAIN) is a member of the federation, working for human rights, anti-poverty and gender equality. 

AAIN is seeking competent, committed and result-oriented candidates for the position of Human Resource, Organisational Development & Safeguarding Manager (HROD&S). HROD&S Manager ensures the development, update, and implementation of human resources and safeguarding policies, procedures, and systems for AAIN which are aligned to the AAIN Country Strategic Plan; and ensures adherence to HR good practices of AAI Global HROD Framework and Standards, and compliance with all local labor laws and other statutory requirements in Nepal.

Key Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible to support and facilitate the strategic programme planning,  implementation, monitoring and partnership management of assigned local right programmes  (LRPs) based on Country Strategy Paper (CSP) promises and direction and ensure Human  Right Based Approach (HRBA) and People Living in Poverty and Exclusion (PLiP) centric  programming. S/he will be the primary focal person for the assigned LRPs.

Key Competencies Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies or relevant field from  a recognized University 
  • At least 5 years of work experience in related field in a similar organisation 
  • Experience of working on programme development and implementation cycle
  •  Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment 
  • Essential knowledge on Human Rights Based Approach to Development
