Job Title/Position: Program Officer
Job Summary
This position aims to provide technical support to private health facilities and service providers, local government bodies and other civil society actors for promotion of Family Planning Services through private sectors. S/he reports directly to Program Coordinator based at provincial office, always maintaining close communication. S/he will also be responsible for coordinating with districts stakeholders including government line agencies, NGOs and other partners working in the area of family planning and reproductive health as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Planning / Implementing
- Prepare and get approval of monthly work travel plans for quality assurance and other field level activities related to selected outlet from authorized supervisor.
Roles and responsibilities
- Provide technical support to private health facilities and service providers, local government bodies for promotion of Family Planning services at private sectors
- Works with local pharmacies, private clinics, polyclinics, private hospitals and service provider to ensure the quality of FP/RH services
- Provide onsite evaluation, technical coaching and mentoring to Service
- Provider of selected outlet for providing quality family planning service.
- Assist Service Provider on using online application for inquires, feedback for periodic reporting
- Provide orientation to other staff of the private health facilities on the subject matters as per the project (e.g. PBCC, VCAT, ASRH, Depo)
- Co-ordinate/interact with key stakeholders in the district/municipality as and when required
- Coordinating with local civil society actors, adolescents and youth groups and other community groups for networking and promotion of selected outlets centers and their services.
Reporting
- Submit complete monthly reports as per the project requirement to supervisor in timely manner
- Encourage service providers to submit monthly reports using the app.
Conduct Training Activities
- Conduct and arrange all the logistics for the trainings/ orientation/ workshops as per timeline in coordination with other staff members.
- Assist the lead trainer during training session, support in logistics and administrative related work.
- Facilitate the training/orientation sessions as per requirement.
Required Specific Skills/Competencies and Others
- Knowledge about health system of Nepal including service delivery mechanism, reporting, financing, human resources, and health governance.
- Excellent knowledge about the contribution of private sector in health system
- Knowledge about the Family Planning, ASRH and RH commodities and its supply system in Nepal
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience in networking and collaboration with different health and non-health government and non-governmental stakeholders
- Experiences of business development of organization
- Excellent in developing Public Relationship (PR)
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal and Negotiation skills
- Willingness for frequent travel; 80% of the job role involves extensive travelling for conducting
- Technical Support Visit (TSVs), training and meetings.
- Must hold a valid two-wheeler driving license.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health/Nursing/Social Work/Sociology
Minimum Experience: 2 Years of working experience in the field of reproductive health, and family planning with private-sector engagement
