Life Project 4 Youth is a federation of 19 organizations in 14 countries whose mission is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of Young people (18-25 yo) from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.

LP4Y supports the decent inclusion of thousands of young people and their families in 41 programs, 20 Training & Development Centers, 6 Green Villages, 4 Little Angel Academies, 2 LP4Y Labs in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America.

Over the past 15 years LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Calauan, Jakarta, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, and Beirut. Currently, we are 140 Catalysts in Asia working with Young Adults contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009,9478 youth have been accompanied to the professional world.

  • ACCOMPANY young women through 2 professional training Centers in Budhanilkantha and Tinkune. Since date, more than 1000 Youth have taken leadership and got empowered through our pedagogy.
  • ENGAGE the Ecosystem : LP4Y Nepal aims to involve multi-layers and horizons actors for Youth inclusion. By involving corporates, NGOs and institutions to take actions and be more Youth inclusive organizations. They engage through professional exposure with the Youth, participate in different networks and events linked to Youth inclusion to share best practices.
  • CAMPAIGN for Youth Inclusion, through international, national and regional events where Youth, Catalysts and partners can share their experiences.

Job Description

Project : Green Village Nepal

The first Green Village started in July 2018, with a unique and experimental project of a Sustainable Training Center for out-of-school Young Adults nearby Raipur (Chhattisgarh), India. 

This soft and hard skill training center has welcomed and trained already +300 Youth coming from skilling programs like Vocational Training Programs (VTPs) or other organisms (livelihood, other NGOs, associations...), helped them in developing professional grooming and employability skills (communication skills, organization and management, time management, business mindset, teamwork, citizenship.

The final objective is to help them to find a stable and decent job (by coaching them, without placement as it's not a placement agency).

Based on the same replicable model, a Green Village was created in January 2020 in Kathmandu, now located in Buddhanilkantha, which has now accompanied over 600 Youth towards their inclusion since 2020. 

Since October 2024, the Green Village is under renovation in order to become a Sustainable Resource Center, to welcome communities, youth and raise awareness on climate actions.

Responsibilities:

Organization and management (Project Management)

  • Coordinate the development of your program across all of its aspects: recruitment of beneficiaries, organization, finance of the micro-company activities, pedagogy, partnership.) with the help of LP4Y Nepal support and management.
  • Coordinate and be a leader for the good flow of your Center
  • Managing finance of the program.
  • To coordinate with Center leader and Country Coordinator to implement the projects designed & based on funding organization.

Pedagogy and accompaniment of the Youth/beneficiaries (training and transversal management)

  • Show exemplary behavior, be a model of professionalism, safety and ecological consciousness to inspire the Youth
  • Develop guidance on personality development and regular follow up on the youth.
  • Lead the Youth to identify their skills and qualities and develop their Life Project Plan accordingly
  • Following up with the Alumni of the Program

Development of a micro company (Social Entrepreneurship)

  • You ensure the creation, the development of the economic activities of the program
  • Support the Youth in the development of the micro-company as a team, by making them experience the different sides of entrepreneurship: creation, production, sale, management, finance and HR.
  • Partnership development (Communication and Strategy)
  • Identify the training needs of young adults and the community.
  • Facilitate capacity-building activities to local partners in consultation with the concerned coordinator.
  • Attend capacity-building on activities as directed.
  • Participate in the organization relations with internal and external partners of your center: companies, ngos, schools, local shop and institutions 

Crisis Management 

  • In a country like Nepal, where natural calamities happen, adaptability and a resilient spirit is much needed.
  • Safety & Security Training to beneficiaries, after receiving training from Experts.
  • Organising Safety Days in the center.
  • Work process and tasks can be changed in case of emergency

Benefits

  • Life in Community : Accommodation provided, Lunch food on site is provided.
  • Allowance: Salary NPR. 29000/ Monthly (Twenty Nine Thousand Only). Final pay will be paid through cheque/bank transfer on the 25th of each month.
  • Will be taken in charge by LP4Y of your expenses if you need to travel as and when required for Project Purpose.
  • Yearly Contract, renewable based on performance.
  • Social Security Fund provided.
