Swatantrata Abhiyan Nepal (SAN), established in 2012, is a Non-Governmental Organization. It is a secular, non-partisan organization that implements advocacy, peoples empowerment, research and movement building activities and campaigns on the area of human rights, fundamental freedoms and civil liberties. SAN works together with Government and Civil Society Organizations, Trade Unions to end all kinds of fear, discrimination, slavery like practices, discrimination and deprivation all over Nepal. Currently Swatantrata Abhiyan has been working at federal level and three provinces (Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudupaschim Province) campaigning to end Child Labor, Forced Labor, Human Trafficking along with various civil society organisations in the collaboration with Global March against Child Labor in Nepal.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Social work, Sociology, Law, Governance, Political Science, other social sciences or related disciplines is required or Minimum 3 years (with master’s degree) or 5 years (with bachelor’s degree)  of professional work experience providing policy advice and programme support in the areas of Human Rights and Child Rights is required. 
  • Full computer literacy in internet searching and Microsoft Office programmes i.e. MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-Power Point
  • Fluency in English is essential, both written and oral.  
  • Experience in advocacy work, particularly in human rights, social justice, or community development.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams in the NGO/INGO sector.
  • Experience in strategic planning, program development, and implementation.
  • Experience in budget preparation, management, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to ensure financial accountability and transparency in program execution.

Age Limit: 30- 40 years.

Job Description

The Program manager will be responsible for contributing on implementation of Projects and programs, provide management support to SAN Staffs, project and program planning, administration and reporting undertake policy research and resource mobilization. The Program Manager will be responsible for

Project Management : 

  • Perform project management with appropriate planning, efficient administration; Coordination with SAN office team and partners; Provide Technical Support to collaborators on campaign against child labor; Document and Report project performance, progress, good practices and learnings; Prepare project performance report. 
Strategic partnerships, resource mobilization and knowledge management initiatives: 

  • Develop and maintain active relationship and partnerships with the Governments, CSOs and development partners, institutes, academia, media, and private sector on SAN thematic Issues.

  • The person should be able to plan innovatively, with continuous learning attitude, result oriented, Adapt with Agility, acceptance of diversity and inclusion, result based management skill, friendly and clear coordination and communication with collaborators.
