Habitat for Humanity Nepal's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat Nepal operates as part of an international network with a common objective of reducing poverty and eliminating substandard housing and homelessness from the world. Habitat Nepal invites applications from highly qualified candidates for the following position.

Position: Program Integration Coordinator
No. of vacancies: 1 (One)
Duration: One Year and Extendable 
Location: Kathmandu 
Reports to:  Program Director 
Field Visits: Domestic travel to project areas

The Program Integration Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Program Director, and in close coordination with the program departments for the smooth integrated implementation of the program plan, activities, budget, timelines, and reporting. The coordinator will play a crucial role in integrating program priorities across various initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Program Integration:

  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure seamless integration of program priorities, including Land and Housing Rights, Climate Justice and Disaster Risk Reduction, and Market system development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively integrate cross-cutting priorities such as Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), environmental and social governance, conflict sensitivity, and volunteering for development into program initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate program integration efforts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with the Program Director to develop and implement strategic plans that align with Habitat Nepal's overall mission and vision.
  • Contribute to the development of program strategies, goals, and objectives, ensuring they are in line with organizational priorities and donor requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, peer organizations, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration in program integration efforts.
  • Coordination with Resource Development and Communication Department:
  • Coordinate with the Resource Development and Communication Department to align program integration efforts with fundraising and communication strategies.
  • Provide input and support in developing communication materials and fundraising proposals related to integrated program priorities.

Coordination with Finance Department:

  • Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure effective budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for integrated program initiatives.
  • Monitor program expenditure and financial performance, providing regular updates and recommendations to the Program Director and Finance Department.

Capacity Building:

  • Identify training and capacity-building needs related to program integration and cross-cutting priorities.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to build the capacity of staff and partners in integrating program priorities effectively.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on program integration activities, progress, and outcomes to the Program Director and senior management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of program integration efforts, including best practices, lessons learned, and case studies.

Education Qualification and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, development studies, social work, Law, other social sciences, or any relevant field of education with 3+ years of experience in development projects.
  • Experience in program management with a focus on planning, budgeting, and proper program implementation.
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within the programs.
  • Experience in program compliance, coordination, and operations.
  • Good facilitation skills and strong liaison with departments and team in the organization.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong speaking, report writing and documentation ability in English and Nepali. 
  • Experience in MS Office package, and data management tools.
  • Honest, transparent, collaborative and learning attitude.
