Job Description

Position Overview: The Program Coordinator is in the overall in charge of the home operation. This role is expected to liaise between the shelter home and the stakeholders from the planning to execution point of view. The Program Coordinator is a critical position in ensuring the survivor-friendly environment of the shelter home.  

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of the shelter home.  
  • Develop and implement the shelter home operational guidelines based on the government of Nepal. 
  • Take the lead in developing projects related to shelter home. 
  • Initiate multidimensional extra activities in the shelter home.  
  • Liaise with ACT to ensure the individual case management of the TIP survivors.    
  • Advocate within the various stakeholders for survivors' rights and needs from the survivor's point of view.   
  • Provide emotional support, crisis management, and trauma-informed care to help survivors cope with their trauma.  
  • Empower survivors to self-advocate and make informed decisions about their recovery journey. 
  • Work closely with the National Human Rights Commission (NHR), National Child Rights Council (NCRC), Municipality, and Ward in respect of TIP survivor's rights.  
  • Maintain all the individual and legal files of the TIP survivor's confidential records of all case management activities, including assessments, service plans, legal progress notes, and referrals as well. 
  • Prepare and submit timely individual case conference reports and reports to ACT Lead.
