Hamro Prayas (“Our Effort”) is an organization established in 2010, a non-governmental, non-profit. The organization is currently working with marginalized women, children and youths in the Madhesh province districts of Nepal. This organization has been advocating for the comprehensive development and empowerment of women and girls in particular. It has been conducting various campaigns and activities for leadership development, economic empowerment, the campaign against child marriage, sexual and reproductive health and rights, useful life skills development for a better life, psychosocial counseling, and gender equality. In addition to this, it has been carrying out activities for the empowerment, safety & well-being and capacity development of women human rights defenders in all 8 districts of Madhesh province in Nepal.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively to quickly earn trust and credibility with members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Nepali and English language 
  • A high degree of comfort with change and ambiguity and the ability to balance multiple changing priorities and judge what is urgent vs important
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to track, execute and manage various tasks
  • Must be a creative and proactive self-starter, willing to work with the grassroots organising and survivors, women and girls

Job Description

An Organization is seeking a highly passionate, motivated, and collaborative programme coordinator to join our team. The program coordinator will drive the crucial programmatic intervention for the high-level change that organization aims to achieve. This is a core, long-term position at organization and will be based in Bara Secretariat. The successful candidate will implement the deliverable under the spirit of four pillars of Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with team members about the plan and program
  • Contribute to and support engaging members in core programmatic pillars.
  • Support curating transformative ideas to skilling and scaling up the community organizers 
  • Design programme, Implement, develop programme report and meet the reporting deadline. 
  • Prepare presentations and agendas for internal and external meetings
  • Support on the project proposal and grant writing 
  • Support regular maintenance and update of the social media, including updating relevant articles, stories sections, or content pages as needed, and scheduling blogs to go live. 
  • Produce monthly Newsletter and event reports and share them with team members. 
  • Support colleagues to document and reflect on learning processes
  • Operations Team Meetings & Gatherings
  • Support operation team for arranging logistics, organizing convening, meetings and trainings
