Democratic Freedom and Human Rights Institute (DFHRI) is an independent and not-for-profit making organization established in 2007 in Kathmandu Nepal. It has been registered at District Administration Office, Lalitpur and is affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Government of Nepal. Since its establishment, the DFHRI has been working in Nepal to protect and promote human rights with focus on transitional justice, rule of law and accountability. The DFHRI respects and promotes diversity and plurality both in its structural make-up and operational interventions. Job Specification

Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 3 years
Other Specification
  • Bachelor's or higher-level graduate degree in development studies or relevant social science degree preferably law
  • At least 3 year of relevant working experience in the development field
  • Experience in human rights and transitional justice issue would be an asset
  • Knowledge of governance and gender issues

Job Description

  • Work under the  supervision of program Officer to coordinate work activities, meet deadlines, and provide support where needed
  • Assists in the monitoring of project activities, managing and using established monitoring and implementing mechanisms to systematically assess the achievement of results
  • Assist the management team in organizing and/or typing correspondences or other documents and reports
  • Assisting the program team in the coordination and delivery process of the workshops and events. And documentation after events
  • Supports the advocacy work of the organization by compiling and synthesizing relevant background material for use in discussions and public events
  • Support the program management team in all administrative and coordination aspects
  • Conduct field visits when relevant
  • Perform other duties as requested by the senior management team
  • Uphold and promote principles and values of DFHRI
