Roles and responsibilities of this job

Position Overview:

The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for organizing and overseeing the manufacturing of goods. S/he shall also be responsible for ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly, and that health and safety protocols are adhered to. Overall, the PM needs to collaborate with the management and workers to ensure smooth workflow.

Reports to: Cheif Operating Officer

Location: Birtamod, Jhapa, Nepal

Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Roles and Responsibilities :

Production

Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations
Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards
Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Evaluates the condition of production equipment
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Analysing production data to identify and resolve any production issues
Recruits, trains, develops, rewards, and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies and goals
Communicate complex issues to immediate supervisor for immediate resolution
Motivate the employees to work for creating high performance and finish the work within the time frame
Other duties as assigned by the Company

Risk Analysis and Safety Protocols

Building risk awareness amongst employees by providing support and training within the company.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Reporting

Evaluating the production progress and reporting on a regular basis to the Chief Operating Officer.
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Skills and Qualifications

Task Related and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in food technology or in related fields.
At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably currently having the same role in a manufacturing company.

Competencies and Soft Skills

Deep knowledge of production management.
Understanding of quality standards and health &safety regulations.
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
