The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They oversee the production team and work closely with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to achieve organizational goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Coordination:

•  Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand. 
•  Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and timely completion. 
•  Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials. 

Team Management:

•  Lead, train, and supervise production staff. 
•  Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members. 
•  Monitor employee performance and provide feedback or corrective actions. 

Quality Control:

•  Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. 
•  Work with the quality assurance team to implement and maintain quality control systems. 
•  Address and resolve production issues or defects. 

Cost Management:

•  Manage production budgets and minimize costs without compromising quality. 
•  Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste. 

Health and Safety:

•  Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations. 
•  Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures. 

Continuous Improvement:

•  Evaluate production processes and recommend improvements. 
•  Implement lean manufacturing principles and other optimization strategies. 

Reporting:

•  Prepare and present production reports to management. 
•  Maintain accurate records of production metrics and activities. 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field. 
• Experience: Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role. 

Skills:

•  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. 
•  Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 
•  Proficiency in production management software and tools. 
•  Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control processes.
