The Product Owner is the core of the Product team responsible for leading the product development process. The primary responsibility is to ensure that problems are translated into solutions by collaborating with stakeholders and having the development team understand the solution. The Product Owner is also responsible for setting priorities for their teams on a sprint-by-sprint basis, writing requirements and acceptance criteria, and performing user acceptance testing (UAT). The Product Owner is a critical role that requires a combination of technical, project management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for building great products.

Roles and responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into product features and functionalities
• Work with the development team to ensure that the product vision is understood and implemented effectively
• Write clear, concise, and well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development efforts
• Set priorities for the development team on a sprint-by-sprint basis, and ensure that development efforts are aligned with business goals and objectives
• Run day-to-day work with the development team, including scrum routines, backlog grooming, and keeping reports updated
• Conduct customer interviews and manage stakeholders
• Embrace user feedback to build product capabilities and continuously improve the product
• Drive and motivate the development team to ensure timely delivery and engagement
• Monitor and report on the progress of the product development process
• Define and track product metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role
• Strong technology knowledge and some UX experience
• Excellent feature specification, project management, agile process, and prioritization skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing market and customer needs.
