Disaster Hack is a San Francisco based INGO utilizing art to inspire, technology to empower and innovation to overcome humanitarian challenges in communities affected by natural disaster. We work with universities to bring innovation and entrepreneurship into the lives of students, we teach code and distribute computers in rural communities, incubate and fund local innovation, fund art initiatives, send artists to Burning Man, and develop sustainable businesses to provide employment and generate funds to support community development.

Experience developing of a product from concept to product
Proficiency in English and engineering background is required
Sourcing products from China is also a huge plus
Experience managing staff is requirements
Very good command of English, both spoken and written

Job Description

Responsibilities:

The production and quality of our social impact products
Improving production capabilities by designing new manufacturing techniques, innovating product and machine designs
Working with our business development team and our manufacturing team to R&D new products and manufacturing workflows
Assisting/Advising our team of artists on designing and engineering large scale international art installations. Managing and building a team of engineers
