Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday
Position Overview:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for strategically sourcing and procuring agricultural products, ensuring a consistent and cost-effective supply chain. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to meet production demands.
Roles and Responsibilities
Procurement Task
- Ensure that procurement policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, and review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Implement change and develop new processes to better procure goods and services.
- Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
- Review and maintain a good record of purchasing files and records (purchase orders, contracts, etc.) to ensure its compliance with company policies and procedures and ensure the availability of documentation.
- Responsible for order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements in the supply chain.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages, and implement efficient inventory control practices to minimize holding costs.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards in the supply chain.
- Support Management Team
- Work with the Admin department to maintain and update supplier information by managing inventories and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Help to review and monitor capital purchases to ensure their compliance with company policies and procedures.
Relationship Management
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure long-term goals and objectives.
- Evaluate vendors to ensure their performance is in place with established specifications.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain product quality standards.
Reporting
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
Skills and Qualifications
Task Related
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, or related field required
- 4 or more years of experience in the related field, preferably in the FMCG or agricultural industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and purchasing skill

- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects at one time and ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals
