Population Services International/Nepal (PSI/Nepal) began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector, and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. PSI/Nepal has been capacitating private sector health services delivery system since last two decades and in parallel providing technical assistance to strengthen public health facilities to deliver primary health care and increase access to family planning and reproductive health services. PSI/Nepal with its expertise and experience in social and behavior change communication, clinical quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and digital health interventions focuses on designing client centered health care projects to address reproductive health challenges affecting women of reproductive age. With an emphasis on consumer powered health care, PSI/Nepal invests in improving health care market for product and services, and develop solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality. In the past, PSI/Nepal has successfully managed HIV, malaria, menstrual hygiene management and health and hygiene projects. Currently, it works in areas of family planning, sexual and reproductive health and maternal and newborn health with health systems strengthening at its core. The Private Sector Business Development Analyst is responsible for leading and coordinating the Private Sector Business Development related components of the program and providing expertise in assessment, design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and dissemination of key findings of business-related interventions. S/he is responsible for improving efficiency and managerial/institutional capacity of the USAID-supported MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery Nepal’s working health facilities and pharmacies through designing/developing/refining and implementing impactful private sector business approaches to expand sustainable, comprehensive, quality, FP service provision to adolescent and young people.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and/or Business Development and data management with a minimum 5 years of experience in managing service outlets, in health or fast-moving consumer goods. Or other relevant subject and 7 years’ minimum work experience.
  • The ability to analyze data to deliver logical conclusions.
  • The ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of critical private sector business requirements.
  • Knowledge/experience engaging with private sector health providers (FP/RH preferred) and in public private partnerships.
  • Proven capacity and desire to travel at least 60% of the time throughout Nepal.
  • Should have strong advocacy skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both Nepali and English.
