Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Principal to lead the British Grammar School under The British College in Rupandehi. The ideal candidate will have international teaching and leadership experience, a strong understanding of the Cambridge curriculum, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. The Principal will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence, promoting faculty development, and fostering a positive learning environment that aligns with both international standards and local expectations. 

Grade Levels: PG to Grade 12(Cambridge Curriculum: Grade 1 to Grade 8)

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure high academic standards across all levels (PG to Grade 12).
  • Oversee effective implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum (Grades 1–8), ensuring alignment with international best practices.
  • Ensure compliance and effective liaison with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), including teacher training and curriculum updates.

International Exposure & Expertise:

  • Must have international teaching or administrative experience, preferably in British, American, or European education systems.
  • Should have either studied or taught in the UK, USA, or other European countries.

Curriculum Understanding:

  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum, its assessment structure, and teacher support mechanisms.
  • Provide strategic direction for curriculum development and teacher empowerment through regular training and mentoring.

Community Engagement:

  • Understand and navigate the expectations of Nepali parents, particularly regarding the importance of Grades 5, 8, 10, and 12 NEB and municipal board exams.
  • Build positive relationships with parents through regular communication, orientation sessions, and performance reviews.

Training & Development:

  • Organize and lead training programs for teachers, students, and parents, focusing on academic achievement, soft skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and capacity building within the school.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Exhibit strong proficiency in written and verbal communication, including professional reporting, documentation, and correspondence
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for school management, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
