The Playgroup Teacher at Babylon National School is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 2-4 years. The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a variety of engaging and educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of playgroup children.
• Prepare the classroom environment to support children’s exploration and learning.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Observe and assess each child's development and progress.
  
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on children's progress.
• Identify and support children with special needs or learning difficulties.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe classroom environment.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and ensure children are supervised at all times.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education.
