Appolo Hydropower Limited is looking for responsible and technically skilled Plant Operator to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of its hydropower facilities. The role involves monitoring plant equipment, supporting operation and maintenance activities, and responding effectively to operational issues. Appolo Hydropower is focused on developing, operating, and owning hydropower projects in Nepal.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor hydropower plant equipment and systems.
Ensure smooth and safe day-to-day plant operations.
Monitor electrical and mechanical equipment for proper performance.
Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment abnormalities.
Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Support transmission line maintenance and related electrical works.
Assist in electromechanical installation and maintenance works.
Participate in maintenance and operational activities for at least one project.
Report equipment faults, breakdowns, and operational issues to the concerned team.
Maintain proper records of plant operation, inspection, and maintenance activities.
Follow all safety procedures and operational standards.
Coordinate with engineers and technical teams during maintenance and emergencies.
Support timely troubleshooting to minimize plant downtime.
Ensure proper handling and care of plant equipment, tools, and facilities.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
2–3 years of prior experience in plant operation.
Prior experience in transmission line maintenance.
Experience in electromechanical installation works.
Candidates who have completed relevant works in at least one project will be preferred.
Electrical candidates should have experience in electrical maintenance works.
Good knowledge of hydropower plant operation and maintenance.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational issues.
Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and safety awareness.
