Job Description

A Dairy Plant Operator is responsible for managing and overseeing the production and processing of dairy products in a plant setting. Their job involves a mix of operational tasks, quality control, and maintaining equipment to ensure that dairy products are produced in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Dairy Processing:

  • Monitor the production of dairy products like Milk, Cheese Curd, Cream, Butter milk etc.
  • Operate and adjust machinery involved in the milk & cream pasteurization, cream separation process.
  • Perform daily CIP of Silos, Pasteurizer, Separator, vats.
  • Ensure all processes adhere to food safety regulations, including maintaining proper temperatures, cleanliness, and processing times.

2. Monitor Equipment and Systems:

  • Ensure all plant machinery (e.g., pasteurizers, separators) are functioning correctly.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues when they arise.

3. Sanitation and Hygiene:

  • Maintain clean and sanitary working conditions in the plant.
  • Oversee and participate in cleaning routines for production equipment, storage tanks, and plant facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Record production data, maintenance logs, and quality control points and critical limits.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production outputs, issues, and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations by keeping detailed logs and documentation.
