Roles and responsibilities of this job

Appolo Hydropower Limited is seeking an experienced and responsible Plant Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of its hydropower plant. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, hands-on experience in hydropower operations, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operation of the hydropower plant.
Ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Plan and coordinate regular and preventive maintenance activities.
Monitor electrical equipment, machinery, and plant systems.
Identify operational issues and coordinate timely troubleshooting and repairs.
Lead and supervise plant operators and technical staff.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
Maintain proper records of plant operations, maintenance, and incidents.
Coordinate with technical teams and management regarding plant performance.
Support emergency response and ensure minimum downtime during operational issues.
Prepare and submit regular operational and maintenance reports.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of plant equipment and resources.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in operation and maintenance within the hydropower sector.
Strong understanding of electrical SCADA systems, transmission line, substations and hydropower plant operations.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to make quick and effective decisions during operational challenges.
Responsible, proactive, and safety-conscious attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding plant environment.
