Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing, or any related field
  • At least 4 years or above working experience in a related field
  • Have experience in sourcing work placements from engaging employers
  • Have experience of resource management
  • Be aware of, and comply with, legislations/competence standards relevant to the work of the directorate
  • Have evidence of providing effective records and monitoring of activity
  • Have evidence of effective communication with learners, curriculum and business support areas, employers, and external agencies
  • Make use of data to analyze performance and plan for improvements
  • Ability to travel when necessary, up to 30%


Job Description

Reports to: Program Manager
Employment Period: 3 months (Possibility of extension)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prior experience of stakeholder management with the ability to deliver a range of impactful and innovative employability initiatives
  • Have excellent networking and interpersonal skills, being comfortable developing business opportunities and communicating with a range of audiences including companies, agencies, academic staff, and students
  • Initiate placement and ensure they receive adequate support and guidance
  • Providing employers with students that are 'work ready' including overseeing the whole recruitment process from job descriptions to making sure the candidates are assessed and prepared for the interview
  • Working with the Program Manager and team to develop the work placement programme to achieve best practice across all cluster areas
  • Ensuring that all processes are followed consistently to ensure funding compliance
  • Maintaining accurate records of the services provided, including reporting of progress and outcomes
  • Reviewing and monitoring the effective implementation of the industry placement programme and identifying opportunities and areas of improvement
  • Ensuring regular communication with employers and the sales team to identify and provide employers with the suite of the college's programme and product offering
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of current marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices
  • Liaising with the employers to identify progression opportunities through Traineeships and Apprenticeships
  • Organize job fairs, career events, webinars and attend promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visit
  • Work in a target-driven environment and able to work flexibly to meet the changing demands of a busy service
  • Ensuring that all processes are followed consistently to ensure funding compliance
  • Any other job assigned by the line manager
