HI works alongside the vulnerable populations, whatever the context, taking action to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Present in Nepal since 2000, HI works through a network of local partner organizations in the area of health and physical rehabilitation, inclusive education and resilience including emergency response to improve the living conditions and involvement of the most vulnerable populations in Nepal.

Physiotherapist - Capacity Building Officer

No. Of Positions:

Workstation: Country Office with field visits

Contract Duration: 2 years initially

Job Specification:

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy

Experience: 3 years in field of Physiotherapy, preferably focused on capacity building   

Attributes:

  • Knowledge on RMS, ability to providing technical inputs for national level rehabilitation documents
  • Excellent knowledge on the functioning of rehabilitation professional associations such as NEPTA, ANOT and POS Nepal

Job Description:

  • Facilitate training and capacity building initiatives for clinical staff of Physical Rehabilitation Centers (PRCs) and public Physiotherapy Units through NEPTA
  • Support NEPTA to organize conference
  • Support 5 ex-STRIDE PRCs to continue quality assurance system, including Rehabilitation Management System (RMS)
  • Support 5 ex-STRIDE PRCs and Government PTs  to upgrade PT equipment
  • Support to Technical Advisor for drafting guidelines and protocols related to rehabilitation services
  • Support to Sustainability Manager for conducting managerial capacity building activities through NASPIR
  • Support PRCs to organize outreach services at public PTUs
