Chemonics seeks a Supply Chain Maturity and performance Analyst and Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management expert for an anticipated Supply Chain Diagnostics and Strategy Activity in Nepal, funded by The Global Fund (TGF). This activity shall be executed under the direct supervision of Ministry of Health and Population and coordinated by Save the Children International (SCI) in Nepal. TGF in partnership with SCIseek to acquire services of a qualified technical assistance (TA) over a period of 4-6 months. The TA aims to provide support to the Government of Nepal to undertake a rapid supply chain diagnostics review and support the Management Division of Ministry of Health and Population to develop a 5-year national health product supply chain strategic plan consistent with national health policies and development goals.

 

The Supply Chain Maturity and performance Analyst, and the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management expert will undertake an end-to-end supply chain diagnostics review to size and profile the supply chain network(s) in Nepal and to document and build consensus on the major risks and root causes in health product management. Following the diagnostics, Chemonics is seeking qualified Pharmaceutical and supply chain management specialists in the following areas for inclusion in this anticipated proposal:  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Academic and/or professional credentials in supply chain management, pharmacy, health, management, or related fields, with at least 10 years professional experience in public health supply chain management. 
  • Proven experience in health supply chain management in a developing country context, or in Nepal. 
  • Prior substantive and sustained work experience in roles related to strengthening supply chain management in more than one developing country or in Nepal. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix management environment, across teams and disciplinary fields 
  • Possess in-depth understanding of cross-cutting issues in health systems strengthening including Pharmaceutical Supply Chain management, and related issues. 
  • Ability to communicate complex health supply chain related issues within the broad agenda for health systems strengthening  
  • Prior knowledge and experience working with the USAID, UN, Global Fund and/or GAVI supported programs, preferably at country level.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and health supply chain performance management skills. 
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and on budget with diplomacy, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork building skills.
