Roles and responsibilities of this job

The PE Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging and inclusive Physical Education programs. This role focuses on promoting fitness, teamwork, discipline, and lifelong healthy habits among students through structured sports, games, and health education.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
Incorporate a wide range of sports, fitness, and wellness activities to engage students.
Adapt lessons to accommodate different ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
Educate students about health, nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.
Foster values of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and fair play.
Plan, organize, and oversee school sports programs, competitions, and tournaments.
Manage intramural and inter-school sports events efficiently.
Ensure all equipment and facilities are safe, clean, and ready for use.
Assess and record student performance, effort, and participation.
Prepare progress reports and communicate with parents and school management.
Set realistic goals for skill development and fitness improvement.
Enforce safety protocols and provide first aid when necessary.
Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment during activities.
Keep inventory of sports equipment, uniforms, and request repairs or replacements.
Coordinate with maintenance and administration teams for facility upkeep.
Encourage participation in extracurricular and community sports activities.
Stay updated on modern training techniques, sports science, and health education trends.
Participate in professional development workshops and school improvement programs.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Prior experience teaching PE at the school level preferred.
Strong knowledge of sports rules, fitness training, and health education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop an active lifestyle.
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
