Job Description

The Outreach Manager, Academics is responsible for developing and implementing programs to enhance the visibility and disseminate information about the institution's offerings. With a focus on elevating student engagement and effective student recruitment, this role involves actively engaging with diverse stakeholders, including prospective students, parents, educators, schools, colleges, organizations and the community, to promote the institution's academic programs and initiatives.

This position requires travel to attend outreach events, collaborate with external partners, and represent the institution in various locations (inside & outside Kathmandu valley and outside Nepal).

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement Outreach Strategies:

  • Create and execute outreach plans to promote academic programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Identify target audiences and tailor outreach strategies to effectively reach them.

2. Prospective Student Outreach and Student Recruitment

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract prospective students to the institution.
  • Support the Head of Programs in the development and delivery of the college’s recruitment strategy,
  • Work closely with the Head of Programs and Student Services Managers to implement conversion plans for each programme with a focus on enrolling the highest quality candidates. Maintain a detailed knowledge of market and recruitment trends
  • Conduct presentations and workshops to inform students about academic programs and admission processes.

3. Community Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with communities, schools, colleges and organizations.
  • Organize and participate in the events to promote the institution's academic offerings.

4. Collaboration with Schools and Educators:

  • Establish partnerships with schools and other educational institutions to enhance academic collaborations.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to provide information and resources to educators.

5. Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate outreach events, such as open house programs, information sessions, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of events.

6. Communication and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional materials and content for effectively communicating academic offerings.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to utilize various communication channels, including social media, to reach a diverse audience.

7. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Specify, design, and develop statistical and written reports for internal and external bodies, showcasing the impact and outcomes of outreach events.

8. Budget Management:

  • Agree on and manage budgets for all activities within the outreach team, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Conduct regular budget analysis to inform spending decisions and develop strategies for subsequent years.
