The Operations Manager – Nepal holds overall responsibility for ensuring the successful and profitable delivery of all Intrepid Nepal trips and other specified travel products. This role oversees the recruitment, training, and management of Intrepid’s tour leaders, guides, and porters. Acting as the primary liaison between Intrepid Brands, tour leaders, and the Nepal-based office team, the Operations Manager is accountable for the performance of the Operations Department. As a member of the Nepal Management Team, they also play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Intrepid Nepal.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 7+ Years of experience in Operational management, ideally in multiple locations.
  • Extensive travel experience in Nepal.
  • Outstanding communication and first-class people and relationship management skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to delegate
  • Systems literacy

Desirable

  • A thorough understanding of and passion for Intrepid’s style of travel, including our different brands
  • A thorough understanding of Nepal’s culture and business etiquette.
  • The ability to manage and develop a large group of employees and leaders.
  • A willingness to work regular office hours with flexibility to be on call outside of office hours as needed
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team

In addition to the above all our people require:
