An Operation Theatre (OT) Nurse is a healthcare professional who provides patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room. Their primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting the surgical team in preparing the patient for surgery by completing necessary preoperative procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing the patient for anesthesia.
• Providing support to the surgical team by handing them the necessary instruments, supplies, and medications during the procedure.
• Monitoring the patient's vital signs and alerting the surgical team to any changes or concerns.
• Maintaining a sterile field during the surgery to reduce the risk of infection.
• Assisting with postoperative care, such as dressing wounds and monitoring the patient's vital signs and comfort level.
• Documenting the patient's care and communicating with other members of the healthcare team as needed.
• Staying up to date with the latest advances in surgical procedures, patient care, and OT equipment.

The OT Nurse must possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
