Designation: Operation Officer
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Birtamod, Jhapa, Nepal
Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

PositionOverview

An Operations Officer at Manaram Farm, with an agriculture and dairy product line, plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the success of the company. S/he must maintain a dynamic work environment and administer and monitor all the facilities. S/he should have strong organization and interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

Day to Day Operations

  • Assist with daily production activities including raw material preparation, equipment maintenance and quality control checks
  • Assign tasks to subordinates and inspect work to ensure that the prescribed standards are met
  • Resolving complaints and managing process discrepancies to maintain the smooth delivery of services
  • Communicate and work with multiple departments to fulfill various needs in the workspace
  • Oversee the production processes assigned by the line manager for all the farm's products, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing

Inventory

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures in coordination with the Production and Inventory Manager
  • Maintain accurate records of production outputs, raw materials and quality control data and update it regularly
  • Receive and organize raw materials and finished products
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met. Risk Analysis and Safety Protocols
  • Perform administrative duties that include training and safety responsibilities
  • Performing a risk assessment: analysing current and potential risks affecting the company
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

People Management

  • The development of staff through coaching, advice, and motivational techniques to help the team to maximize the potential for revenue

Skills and Qualifications

Task Related

  • At least bachelor's degree in related field
  • At Least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably currently having the same role (OM) in a manufacturing company

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Deep knowledge of production management
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
