Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, ensure operational efficiency, and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience managing teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the hydropower plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
Develop and implement operational strategies, schedules, and procedures in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of Shift Engineers, Control Room staff, and field operators.
Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor plant performance, analyze operational data, and initiate corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
Liaise with Load Dispatch Center (LDC) and regulatory authorities for operational coordination.
Manage budgets, resources, and reporting for the operations department.
Lead emergency response efforts and provide guidance during critical incidents.
Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to build a high-performing operations team.
Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 10 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven expertise in hydropower plant operations, including turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems.
Strong knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems and plant control operations.
Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
Experience in collaborating with regulatory authorities and grid operators for compliance and operational coordination.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills in multicultural environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in English
