As the Operational Manager for Zum Rides' Public Bike Station, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of our bike-sharing stations across Kathmandu. You will ensure that all stations operate smoothly and efficiently while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Sector:
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of public bike stations across designated locations in Kathmandu.
- Monitor the distribution and availability of bikes at various stations to ensure a balanced service.
- Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders for location approvals and operational compliance.
- Manage and maintain relationships with banking institutions to handle financial transactions related to bike rentals.
- Ensure smooth processing of payments, refunds, and other banking operations.
Mechanical or Service Sector:
- Supervise a team of in-house mechanics responsible for the repair and maintenance of all bikes.
- Ensure timely repair of any issues related to bike functionality, such as tire inflation, brake checks, and overall mechanical health.
- Provide regular reports on repair activities, maintenance schedules, and operational issues.
- Keep detailed records of all repairs, part replacements, and service requests.
- Manage the operational capacity of bike stations, ensuring they can handle 250-500 bikes efficiently.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize bike availability during peak hours and in high-demand areas.
Operational Module:
- Logistics Management: The operations manager oversees the logistics of the entire cycle-sharing system. This includes managing the distribution and redistribution of bicycles across docking stations or hubs based on demand patterns and usage.
- Maintenance Coordination: Ensuring that bicycles are well-maintained and safe for use is another critical responsibility. The operations manager coordinates maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and ensure a high level of service availability.
- Inventory Management: Managing inventory of bicycles, parts, and accessories is essential to meet user demand. The operations manager monitors inventory levels, forecasts demand, and orders new bicycles or parts as needed.
- Customer Support: Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback is part of maintaining a positive user experience. The operations manager ensures there are efficient channels for users to report issues and receive assistance promptly.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that the cycle-sharing program complies with safety regulations and local laws is crucial. The operations manager oversees safety protocols, such as helmet availability and adherence to traffic rules.
