Muktinath Livestock Bank is a subsidiary company of Muktinath Krishi Company, established on the 6th of Bhadra, 2079 B.S. This company’s primary goal is to support farmers in enhancing the productivity and quality of animals involved in milk, fish, meat production, and more by providing them with consultancy services to improve animal feeding patterns. Furthermore, another key objective is to promote local-level livestock production by utilizing modern technology to process, package, and store products in a hygienic manner, all under the guidance of livestock export.
Muktinath Live Stock Bank is currently in the process of establishing a slaughterhouse in Butwal in collaboration with the Butwal sub-metropolitan authority. Academic Qualification:

At least bachelor degree in veterinary science with 3-4 years in experience or

Required Competency:

License of meat inspector will be highly preferred.
Knowledge of meat slaughtering and processing industry standards and procedures as per
Federation/Provincial/Local Government act, rules etc.
Dedicated, honest and hardworking with flexible in working time.
Fluency in English & Nepali.

Note:

Candidates having at least 3+ years’ experience in the relevant field shall be given preference.
Candidates having own two-wheeler and its license shall be given preference.

Job Description

Overall, it is responsible to inspect and examine the animal during receival, before slaughtering, and after slaughtering.
Inspecting animal carcasses for defects such as tumors or abscesses.
Monitoring the processing of meat products to ensure that they meet federal standards for safety, labeling, and other regulations
Testing samples of meat for bacterial contamination using different available methods
Reporting findings quickly to supervisors regarding any violations or problems discovered during inspections
Examining slaughterhouses for compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations on processing meat products
Performing inspections of slaughterhouses to ensure that food safety regulations are being followed.
Examining records of slaughterhouse operations to ensure that they are accurate and complete
Inspecting facilities that meet federal, provincial, and local government regulations on food safety, sanitation, and consumer health.
Examining samples of meat products in meat shops, hotels, stores, etc. to ensure that they are safe for consumption
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
