Established in 1995, and run by innovative Board of Directors, The Hidden Treasure (THT) Pvt. Ltd. is an institution aiming for the Professional Development and an event management company as well. The institution holds franchise for Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International and Miss Asia Pacific World pageants. It has successfully organized musical event Shikhar Saajh from 1996-1997 for Surya Tobacco Company; cultural events for Nepal/German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NGCCI) and Shanti Nikunja High School, Newari Food Festival for Kathmandu Lady Jaycess, all of them in 1996, and the Annual General Meetings for Premier Insurance Company from 1996-98. The Hidden Treasures first ever Miss World Beauty Pageant in 1997, and Miss Nepal Beauty Pageants from thereon and Gaijatra festival 2002-03 and co-ordinate The International Biodiversity Day celebration programme in 2004, Durbar Marg festivals 2009-10 and Health and Beauty Expo 2010. The Hidden Treasure has published a pictorial coffee-table book titled Kingdom on Edge based on the life and time of Late King Birendra in 2002.

Job Description

The Hidden Treasure is looking for a proactive Office Manager with an events background. Preferably with an educational background in Management studies with at least a Bachelor level degree. The Manager will oversee and organize events that will make an impact and ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. The candidate should understand marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything to chance. The candidate will also be responsible for the daily running of the office and leading the team.

Job Description:

  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analysing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Oversee hiring personnel (DJs, waiters etc.)
  • Lead promotional activities for the event
  • Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
  • Approve all aspects before the day of the event
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports
