SMEC has operated in Nepal since 1968. SMEC’s first project in Nepal was the 300 MW Karnali Hydropower Project. SMEC provided project planning services and undertook feasibility studies on the project. 

Since then, SMEC has worked on a range of projects throughout Nepal including: a water resources and energy training program on behalf of the Government of Nepal; Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project; Kathmandu Sustainable Urban Transport Project; and the Sanjen (Upper) and Sanjen Hydroelectric Project located approximately 160 km north of Kathmandu. 

More recently, SMEC has been awarded a contract by the Government of Nepal’s Department of Electricity Development to provide detailed engineering designs and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) on the 20 MW Budhi Ganga Hydropower Project.

Experience in the proposed field of expertise: 7 years and above experience as an Accountant in at least one construction supervision of infrastructure project. Experience in Admin Management will be preferable


Job Description

  • Execute overall business and product strategy vision, to accomplish all the objectives laid out by leadership within a given budget.
  • Through your leadership, experience and enthusiasm - help establish Fuse | extract as a leader in the Intelligent Document Processing space.
  • Execute an end-to-end gameplan of all interconnected teams to be customer-centric and strive to make our customers love the product.
  • Plan, manage, lead and guide the fuse | extract team to do their best work and feel proud about contributing towards the product
  • Plan budgets for the team and run P&L for the business line
  • Discover customer/clients needs, develop valuable solutions, validate your solutions in the marketplace, research competitors, and create plans to scale the delivery of our product
  • Determine use cases that fit the company’s strategic goals and accomplish the growth targets as previously committed to leadership.
  • Ensure coordination within all internal teams - development, engineering, architecture, QA, operations, customer success, etc so that the needed features are being shipped as per the need of both the customer and market.
  • Implement programs and interventions that prepare this business unit for the implementation of new/improved business processes.
  • Reconciliation and return filling of VAT of head office and projects.
  • Reconciliation of VAT, VAT Withheld, WHT Credit ledger, and local book debtor and creditors ledger
