Initially the company was registered in the name NRN Investment Limited which was changed to NRN Infrastructure & Development Limited in February 2, 2017.

 

With liberalization in the state policies that allows private investors to build and operate hydropower projects and in the context of high demand for power in the country, significant development as expected of the energy sector is yet to happen. Investment in this sector washighly awaited. At the very outset, with major objective to mobilize the knowledge, skills, capital and other resources for the socio-economic development of Nepal in co-operation with the government, “NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited was registered in Kathmandu under the Company Act 2063,” in Nepal (September 2012) with the main motive of collective investment for a swift and smooth inflow of capital investment in prioritized sectors in Nepal.

The registered office of the company is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. The objective of the company is to make investments in diversified sectors including Hydropower Projects, Banks and Financial Institutions, Insurence, digital technology, e-commerce, and other profitable sectors thereby contributing to the overall economic development of Nepal and at the same time maximizing the profit of NRNIDL’s shareholder spread across the globe.

Job Description

  • Financial Accounting and Administration
  • Manage and monitor all financial transactions in adherence with standard established field financial management processes and procedures, and chart of accounts.
  • Oversee impress reports to ensure they are prepared and submitted in a timely manner as per the calendar.
  • Ensure compliance of financial management guidelines, policies and procedures, rules and regulations and mission orders while making financial payments.
  • Responsible for review and finance verification of all payment vouchers as well as invoices.
  • Manage full lifecycle of payment processing and ensure that expenses are allowable, allocable and reasonable.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness. Review monthly reconciliation of local bank accounts.
  • Maintain banking relationship, escalate issues and regularly monitor timely and accurate transfer of funds to minimize bank errors, exchange losses and bank charges 
  • Review Petty Cash operations.
  • Forecasting of budget and accrual reports.
  • Provide input into monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Manage all field-based travel expenses and reporting (advances, reimbursements, requests) and advise on compliance with travel rules and regulations 
  • Design and implement the financial statements and obtain tax clearance certificates for the  tax audit purposes and communicate reporting to immediate supervisor 
  • Lead audit response for internal audits and ensure timely audit and publishment.
  • Responsible for ensuring all financial records and backup documentation are saved daily/monthly on the server and ensure they are readily available for audits
  • Carry out any other related responsibilities assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
  • Oversee the preparation & maintenance of payroll, pay slips and all personnel reports on a monthly basis in accordance with local labor laws and project policies
  • Advise on tax withholdings, stay abreast of local labor laws.
  • Assist the project leadership team with preparing client rate approval documentation when appropriate
  • Ensure all HR internal controls are sound and in place, develop & amend job descriptions 
  • Responsible for confidential management of employee and personnel records 
  • Ensure that employee insurance policies are in place and renew annually
  • Monitor and manage proper completion of employee/ consultant’s timesheets and oversee the tracking and reporting of leave balances as per staff bylaw.
  • Scope of work
  • Generate investment opportunities by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective clients
  • Responsible for making follow-up with different stakeholders for the purpose of future collaboration and project implementation.
  • Field visit as per requirement for project activities implementation.
  • Responsible for assistance on ensuring the compliance with regulatory bodies i.e. SEBON, OCR NEPSE and all other regulatory and legal matters
  • Ensure smooth operations and escalate pending issues.
