Roles and responsibilities of this job

Job Role:

May be designated according to the type of subscription activity managed as Manager, Newspaper Subscription; or area served as Manager. Establishes geographical areas of responsibility for subordinates to coordinate sales and distribution activities. Directs sale and distribution of newspapers: Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and distribution program.

Manage door-to-door in order to achieve newspaper subscription targets
Ensure all related subscription sales staff and third-party vendors are engaged, productive and properly trained to execute these sales initiatives.
Experience in developing new business relationships in subscriptions sales
Ability to mentor and tutor subscriptions sales team
Capacity to excel at both sales and management
A driven and persistent nature that facilitates success in Newspaper subscriptions sales

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of subscription staff
Effectively lead a carrier force to ensure efficient and timely delivery of the newspaper
Actively participate as part of the management team
Creating new, effective marketing programs as well as exceptional customer service, while focusing on subscriber retention
Assist with delivery routes when needed

The proven Consultative Sales approach
Experience of gathering leads through online, print and social media
Well-developed interpersonal skills, internally and externally
Tenacious, creative, professional and consultative approach to sales
Experience of and a proven track record for consistently hitting deadlines and revenue targets
Experience of working with a CRM such as Salesforce
