Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma or bachelors in Environmental or wildlife education
  • At least 5 years’ experience in related work field
  • First Aid box trained 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are an added advantage
  • A sound geographical knowledge of Chitwan - Flora and Fauna and National park
  • Should know safety and security procedures

Job Description

Responsible to: Head Naturalist

Primary Purpose:

  • The core function of a Naturalist is to be able to give a holistic Guiding experience to our Guests combining Community and Conservation and rounding it off with a world class hospitality experience.

Expectations:

  • Arrival and Departure of the Guests and coordinate Guests timings
  • Wake up calls for the guests
  • Maintain jungle register
  • Plan jungle activities for the Guests in coordination with the Resident manager and Head Naturalist
  • Arrangement and Cancellation of National Park Tickets 
  • Maintain local PR for Jungle activities
  • Update Jungle equipment’s accordingly to guests’ needs like: rainwear, binoculars, bird books, walking sticks etc 
  • Pre-arrange food boxes for sundowners or packed lunches during jungle safaris 
  • Respect and follow rules of Forest Department
  • Delighting Guests out in the field and hosting them
  • Be a Team Player
