  • A relevant technical college qualification (electrical, control, electro-mechanical).
  • 5 years+ experience working in the E&M service sector ideally with experience of generation
  • Experience in a hands-on the tools and possibly supervisory position
  • PLC Control/ SCADA systems experience would be desirable
  • Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Able to work independently, under pressure and in remote areas.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • A full driving license.

Job Description

Renewable Energy (Hydropower, Wind and Solar) will dominate future energy systems with Energy Storage and Private HV networks being key features. The Hydroplan Group has provided services to the renewables sector for more than 30 years.

This role relates to the Asset Management of existing Renewable Power Station and includes the “hands on” Operations, Maintenance and Monitoring of these schemes.

  • Candidates from the small (less than 25MW) Wind, solar and hydropower sectors would be preferred. However, independent diesel generators or micro turbines might also be considered.
  • The ideal candidates will be able to successfully undertake fault finding, repair and maintenance activities of plants, including hydraulic systems, turbines, motors, pumps, inverters, PLC control systems, 3 phase electrical systems.
