Roles and responsibilities of this job
Looking a Montessori Teacher for our a well-established International Pre-school in Kathmandu. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Montessori Teachers to join our early childhood education team. The center focuses on play-based learning, creative engagement, gentle and responsive parenting approaches, and holistic child development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about alternative education methods and committed to nurturing children aged 1–3 years in a safe, stimulating, and loving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and guide toddlers (1–3 years) using Montessori principles
Observe, supervise, and assess children’s learning and development
Develop individualized lesson plans, independent learning activities, and age-appropriate curriculum
Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
Build positive relationships with children and parents based on trust and respect
Monitor and document student progress and prepare reports
Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and equipment
Update student records and handle related administrative tasks
Participate in school events and accompany children on field visits
Support recruitment and assist in training new teachers when required
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
Completed training from an accredited Montessori center
Additional education-related training will be an advantage
Strong communication skills in both English and Nepali
Ability to manage groups of children with varying needs and abilities
Patient, observant, and nurturing personality
Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Calm under pressure and respectful toward children and colleagues
Passionate about child-centered and alternative education approaches
A lifelong learner and positive role model for young children
