Roles and responsibilities of this job

Monitoring and Evaluation officer, will lead over all monitoring and evaluation component of Project in the respective areas ensuring compliance with World Education Inc. sectoral and quality standards, Government’s policies and CDS norms. The Officer will be responsible for managing the monitoring, evaluation, documentation, coordination, communication and reporting of Project. H/She has responsible to provide appropriate technical and functional support, and managing relationships with sectoral key stakeholders including Changunarayan and Suryabinayak Municipality.

Reports To: Direct report to Line Manager

Major Responsibilities:

Lead project team in the development and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation system and oversee routine program monitoring activities. Ensure the quality and relevance of the project’s monitoring and evaluation design
Utilize the Collaborative, Learning and Adapting Approach to continually assess project progress and inform project management decision-making
Provide support to performance evaluation process in collaboration with World Education Inc. and the independent evaluation team
Ensure the quality of M&E related data to be collected throughout the program implementation
Participate in the preparation and facilitation of informational meetings with Municipality, relevant stakeholders and World Education Inc
Document results of the M & E system and produce periodic reports required by World Education Inc. and other stakeholders
Assist the various program teams in data analysis
Train other project staffs on data collection methodology and in the M & E system, in general
Contribute for developing and managing research products and data management of project
Ability to collect, analyze and verify data
Update and manage information in project's reports
Collect and/or assist to collect research data case story, best practice documentation and lessons learnt

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelors in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field
Minimum of two years professional experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities of development projects
Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages
Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/performance monitoring plans
Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies
Experience in planning and managing surveys
Experience developing and refining data collection tools
Experience with data quality assessments and oversight
Fluency in English and Nepali language proficiency – local language a plus

Offered financial and non-financial compensation for this job

Offered Salary:NRs. 25,000 Monthly
