Life Project 4 Youth is a federation of 19 organizations in 14 countries whose mission is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of Young people (18-25 yo) from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.

LP4Y supports the decent inclusion of thousands of young people and their families in 41 programs, 20 Training & Development Centers, 6 Green Villages, 4 Little Angel Academies, 2 LP4Y Labs in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America.

Over the past 15 years LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Calauan, Jakarta, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, and Beirut. Currently, we are 140 Catalysts in Asia working with Young Adults contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009,9478 youth have been accompanied to the professional world.

  • ACCOMPANY young women through 2 professional training Centers in Budhanilkantha and Tinkune. Since date, more than 1000 Youth have taken leadership and got empowered through our pedagogy.
  • ENGAGE the Ecosystem : LP4Y Nepal aims to involve multi-layers and horizons actors for Youth inclusion. By involving corporates, NGOs and institutions to take actions and be more Youth inclusive organizations. They engage through professional exposure with the Youth, participate in different networks and events linked to Youth inclusion to share best practices.
  • CAMPAIGN for Youth Inclusion, through international, national and regional events where Youth, Catalysts and partners can share their experiences.

Benefits:

  • Life in Community [mandatory] : Housing (personal room with common space to share with others volunteers) and basic food on site is provided.
  • Allowance: NPR.29000/ Monthly (Twenty Nine Thousands ). Final pay will be paid through cheque/bank transfer on the 25th of each month.
  • Will be taken in charge by LP4Y of your expenses if you need to travel as and when required for Project Purpose.
  • Yearly Contract, renewable based on performance.
  • Social Security Fund provided.

Working Schedule:

  • Working time: 8.00 AM- 5.30 PM about 40h/week, excluding lunch
  • Work days: Monday to Friday based on 8 hours/day
  • Holidays: 2 days / month, as per the contract.

Job Description

Project : Green Village Nepal

The first Green Village started in July 2018, with a unique and experimental project of a Sustainable Training Center for out-of-school Young Adults nearby Raipur (Chhattisgarh), India. This soft and hard skill training center has welcomed and trained already +300 Youth coming from skilling programs like Vocational Training Programs (VTPs) or other organisms (livelihood, other NGOs, associations...), helped them in developing professional grooming and employability skills (communication skills, organization and management, time management, business mindset, teamwork, citizenship..

The final objective is to help them to find a stable and decent job (by coaching them, without placement as it's not a placement agency). Based on the same replicable model, a Green Village was created in January 2020 in Kathmandu, now located in Buddhanilkantha, which has now accompanied over 600 Youth towards their inclusion since 2020.. Green Village Budhanilkantha.

Since October 2024, the Green Village is under renovation in order to become a Sustainable Resource Center,

to welcome communities, youth and raise awareness on climate actions.

The Green Village Project uses a hands-on pedagogy in the social and professional integration of Youth based on the 13 years experience of Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y), specialized in integration of excluded Youth. In a team, the Youth create and develop micro-companies in order to develop skills, gain self-esteem and become actors of their life. The training is delivered in english only.

Youth mobilization

  • Assuring the mobilization/recruitment of monthly Batch, composed of young women (18 to 24 years old) coming from excluded backgrounds and of remote areas of Nepal. A batch may vary from 15 to 20 depending on the Capacity of the Green Village.
  • Develop and insure the Mobilization Strategy of Green Village: community mobilization in Kathmandu Valley, Youth mobilization, partnership mobilization, social media mobilization.
  • Organization and follow-up of the arrival of new batches of Youth
  • Coordinate the arrival of the Youth and the training week delivered to them
  • Support for the organization of Training 4 Youth (T4Y)
  • Follow-up and reporting to mobilization partners

Partnership Development 

  • Prospecting, visits and meetings with new mobilization partners (local authorities, NGO, Vocational Training Programs (VTP), livelihood colleges, schools)
  • Presentation of LP4Y in the various mobilization centers and assistance in filling the application forms
  • Writing and negotiation of MOU
