Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in building and infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all MEP designs and installations are technically sound, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and compliant with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop detailed MEP system layouts, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct HVAC load calculations, electrical load analysis, and plumbing system design.
Coordinate with architects, civil/structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integration.
Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems at project sites.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and project documentation.
Perform inspections to monitor construction quality, safety, and adherence to design.
Identify design issues or clashes and propose effective engineering solutions.
Support value engineering initiatives to optimize system performance and cost efficiency.
Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to project management teams.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely procurement and installation of MEP materials.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in MEP design and/or site execution.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Dialux, or equivalent software.
Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Willingness to work on-site as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and clash detection tools (Navisworks, Revit).
Knowledge of energy modeling and sustainable design practices (e.g., LEED certification).
Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
