Purpose of the Role

A medical sales representative's job is to promote and sell company products. Communicating and interacting with doctors, nurses and pharmacists and maintaining good relationship with the retail sector.

Superior proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills in English/Nepali is
requirement for this position.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced knowledge, is required.
Possession of a valid 2 Wheeler License is necessary.
The applicant should be willing to travel frequently in the valley as required by the job.

The position entails 80% fieldwork and 20% office work.

Job Description

Arranging appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments
Making presentations to doctors, practice staff, hospital doctors, nurses and pharmacists in the retail sector
Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day or may be conducted in the evenings
Generate Sales and Collection on a target basis
Organizing conferences for doctors and other medical staff
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administration staff e.g. receptionists
Keeping detailed records of all contacts and reaching (and if possible exceeding) annual sales targets
Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the area sales manager
Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings
Monitoring competitor activity and competitors' products
Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and health care sector
Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.
Should work strategically to increase the awareness and use of a company's pharmaceutical and medical products in settings such as general practices, primary care trusts and hospitals
Maintaining and providing timely necessary reports
