Role Overview

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for executing marketing activities, promoting products, expanding market presence, and supporting sales operations. The role requires strong communication skills, market knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotion

Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote company products in assigned territories.
Develop promotional materials and coordinate branding activities.
Conduct market visits to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.
Assist in planning trade promotions, product demos, and awareness campaigns.

Sales Support

Coordinate with the sales team to generate leads and support sales targets.
Maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, and channel partners.
Gather feedback from customers and recommend improvements to products or marketing strategies.

Market Analysis & Reporting

Prepare market reports, competitor analysis, and performance updates.
Track marketing expenses and campaign performances.
Maintain and analyze sales and marketing data using MS Excel.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with production, sales, and management for smooth execution of marketing plans.
Ensure timely follow-up on client inquiries and maintain customer satisfaction.
Support in organizing events, exhibitions, and promotional activities.

Travel Requirement

Frequently travel to provinces and districts outside Kathmandu Valley to conduct market visits, promotions, and dealer/distributor interactions.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in marketing.
Preference given to candidates with experience of Marketing or Dealing in Hardware goods, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical/Medicine industry.

Skills & Competencies

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct market research and analyze trends.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Personal Attributes

Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented.
Willingness to travel frequently outside Kathmandu Valley.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Good presentation and reporting skills.
Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
