We are a group of Australian owned businesses operating across vocational education, artificial intelligence and automation, commercial finance and B2B technology. Our marketing team of ten people is fully remote and already producing at pace. What we need now is someone to run it.

This is a genuine management role, not a senior specialist role with a title attached. You will own the marketing function across multiple brands, set the strategy, direct the team, control the paid media budget and report performance directly to the Director in Melbourne. You will be the most senior marketing person in the group.

Because the role is fully remote and the Director sits in a different country and time zone, autonomy is not a nice-to-have. Nobody will be looking over your shoulder. We expect you to make decisions, hold your team to standards and tell us when something is not working.

The brands you will look after

Australian College (RTO 91110). A registered Australian vocational education provider marketing to domestic and international students. Highly regulated, so accuracy and compliance matter as much as conversion.
ControlArc Partners. An AI and automation consultancy selling into Australian mid-market and enterprise clients. B2B, long sales cycles, credibility driven.
Hosvia (under ControlArc). A hospitality talent marketplace, which means two sided marketing: attracting candidates and attracting employers.
Opulent Finance. Commercial mortgage broking serving high net worth and business clients. Lead quality beats lead volume every single time here.
Opulent Accountants. Accounting and advisory services for business owners, working alongside the finance side of the group.

You will not be marketing all of these the same way. Part of the job is knowing when to consolidate and when to keep the brands deliberately separate.

What you will actually do

Lead the team

Manage a remote team of approximately ten across content, design, video, paid media and SEO.
Set priorities, allocate work across brands and hold people to deadlines and quality standards.
Run the operating rhythm: daily standups, weekly planning, monthly performance reviews.
Coach and develop the team. Identify skill gaps, arrange training and make hiring recommendations.
Manage underperformance early and directly rather than working around it.

Own paid media

Plan, build, launch and optimise campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn and TikTok.
Take responsibility for the monthly ad budget across all brands, including allocation between them.
Drive down cost per qualified lead and improve return on ad spend, with the numbers to prove it.
Build and maintain audience, retargeting and lookalike structures, plus creative testing frameworks.
Manage pixel, conversions API, tag and event tracking so the attribution is trustworthy.

Own brand and content

Maintain a distinct voice and visual identity for each brand without letting quality slip on any of them.
Direct the content calendar across social, blog, email, video and landing pages.
Oversee SEO strategy covering technical, on-page and content, and hold the team to it.
Approve creative and copy before it goes live. You are the final quality gate.

Own the numbers

Build and maintain reporting dashboards that show performance by brand, channel and campaign.
Report monthly to the Director on spend, pipeline, cost per acquisition and what you plan to change.
Work with sales and admissions to close the loop between marketing leads and actual revenue.
Run structured experiments. Kill what does not work quickly and scale what does.

Own compliance

Ensure all education marketing meets Australian regulatory requirements, including ASQA marketing and advertising obligations and, for international student marketing, the ESOS Act and National Code.
Ensure finance related marketing avoids anything that could be read as personal financial advice.
Keep the team inside platform advertising policies for education, finance and employment categories.

Do not panic if you have not worked with Australian education regulation before. We will train you on it. You do need to be the sort of person who reads the rules rather than guessing.

What we need from you

Essential

At least six years in digital marketing, with at least three years managing a team of five or more.
Demonstrated experience managing a fully remote team. Tell us how you did it, not that you did it.
Deep, hands on expertise in Meta Ads Manager. You should be comfortable inside campaign structure, audiences, conversions API and creative testing, not just briefing someone else to do it.
Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Search Console.
Experience managing meaningful monthly ad budgets and being accountable for the results.
Experience marketing more than one brand or product line at the same time.
Excellent written and spoken English. You will be writing to and speaking with Australian stakeholders daily.
A genuine willingness to work Australian business hours. Our team runs 10:30 PM to 7:30 PM Australian Eastern Time, which means starting at 6:15 AM Nepal time, and 5:15 AM during Australian daylight saving. This is not negotiable and it is not occasional. Reliable high speed internet, a quiet work space and a professional setup for video calls.
Genuine autonomy. You can be handed an objective, a budget and a team, and come back with a plan.

Highly regarded

Experience marketing education, international student recruitment or migration services.
B2B lead generation for technology, SaaS, consulting or professional services.
Financial services or mortgage marketing experience.
Marketing automation and CRM experience, particularly HubSpot, n8n or similar workflow tools.
Comfort using AI tools to increase team output without letting quality drop.
Two sided marketplace marketing, where you have to attract supply and demand at once.

How we work

100% remote. No office, no commute, no relocation.
Working hours are 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM Australian Eastern Time. In Nepal that is 6:15 AM to 3:15 PM, shifting to 5:15 AM to 2:15 PM when Australian daylight saving starts in October. Your afternoon and evening are your own.
You will be engaged as an independent contractor, responsible for your own tax, equipment and internet.
We measure output, not keystrokes. There is no surveillance software, but we do expect you to be reachable during those hours.
Direct communication. If something is broken, say so. We would rather hear it early.
You will have real budget authority and real decision-making authority within agreed limits.
