Baliyo Nepal believes that with the right nutrition, we can help the next generation realise their dreams, and help the nation reach its potential. It aims at mobilizing and uniting all the forces that can contribute to end malnutrition: government, private sector, international and non-governmental organisations, civil society and the people of Nepal. It will develop a diversity of programmes to fight the multiple facets of malnutrition. For example, working with the food industry and retailer organizations to improve the nutritional value of the food they sell, while making it more accessible and affordable. Or work with media partners, celebrities, private sector and NGOs to facilitate access to complementary foods for the two thirds of 6 to 23 months old Nepali children who don’t have a minimum acceptable diet.

Job Description

Job Brief:

  • An independent organization will be established to undertake the activities to build and drive the Baliyo Nepal movement and the Marketing Lead will be responsible to strategies and implement all marketing activities of this organization in line with the overall organization objectives and vision. Baliyo Nepal is a multi-stakeholder strategy for nutrition using a pioneering, novel social movement approach, with an aspirational brand and a promise for a brighter future for the Nepalese children.He/she will work independently with the guidance and support of the CEO. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for working with various influences groups and be highly involved in the engagement activities with multiple influences stakeholder groups.  
  • As the Marketing Lead one must be a able to “think outside the box” and be able to work creatively in designing various communication collaterals
  • He/she will take actions to amplify the organization's marketing activities and contribute to the overall mission

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing the marketing strategy for the movement with inputs from the Global Marketing Hub
  • Executing the Brand Architecture strategy and activities as part of the Baliyo Nepal movement
  • Advising on brand campaigns for multiple product partners and other stakeholders including government 
  • Overseeing Baliyo Nepal’s marketing budget
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans
  • Working closely with Anchor Influences to amplify the movement message and reach by utilizing their “Sphere of Influence” mapping
  • Work with the government to find ways of incorporating BN message in the educational system
  • Research on existing initiatives and programs and implement strategies to incorporate BN in their initiatives and programs 
  • Strategizing new product on boarding and launches
  • Analyzing potential strategic partner relationships for growth of the brand, especially with media industry influences
