As brick kilns producing red fired bricks are a major contributor to air pollution in Kathmandu Valley, USAID Clean Air is seeking to identify and promote cleaner innovative solutions in the brick kiln sector within Kathmandu Valley, together with municipalities and private sector.
The purpose of this study is to design a marketing strategy for the wider adoption of hollow bricks in the building construction sector in Nepal. For this purpose, under an agreement with FHI 360 Nepal, the consultant will work closely with the BEEN project, the private sector engaged in manufacturing and promoting bricks, and with other relevant stakeholders, particularly in the Kathmandu valley.
