SCOPE OF ROLE

  • To undertake activities as per the assigned responsibility to meet the departmental objective. The major activities include
  • Independent handling of Operational Risk Management of Finance Function
  • Handle the Balance Sheet Management of the Bank and provide full support to Financial Controller on the Balance Sheet area

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring completion of KRI/CST/KCSA of Finance Department
  • Review all applicable Departmental processes and have effective controls built in to the processes as required by the process universe
  • Prepare monthly review summary report and review the same with concerned department heads on monthly basis
  • Review the Asset Liabilities Committee (ALCO) pack for data and analytical correctnes
  • Ensure correct Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) procedures are implemented by the Businesses and Functions, duly supported by the held documentation
  • Ensure a proper tracking mechanism of the regulatory limits on balance sheet and highlight the emerging issues on time
  • Handle the ICAAP process as a first line by with the departmental and other stakeholders
  • Help Financial Controller in preparing a timely and well reviewed ICAAP for regulatory submission
  • Review the Capital Adequacy Returns for timely submission to the regulators

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS and WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, banking experience is a must. Prior experience of handling ALCO, ICAAP processes etc. of banks will be an added advantage
  • MBA (Finance), ACCA or Chartered Accountant qualification
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under minimum supervision
  • In-depth knowledge of Banking Platform & Surround System
  • Hands on Knowledge of XLS, Word, Access & PowerPoint
  • Strong Accounting Concepts
  • Overall knowledge of various other activities conducted by Finance Department
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements in relation to Finance Department
