Job Description

The Mechanical and Maintenance Shift In Charge is a key position in the maintenance department, responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all mechanical and maintenance activities in the plant during their assigned shift. The successful candidate will be a proactive and experienced professional with a strong mechanical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and supervise all mechanical and maintenance activities during the assigned shift
Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained in good working order and perform preventative maintenance as required
Respond to emergency breakdowns, diagnose problems, and perform repairs to restore equipment to full operation as quickly as possible
Monitor and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including spare parts inventory and labor hours
Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are followed at all times
Train and supervise maintenance staff, delegate tasks as required, and provide support and guidance as needed
Communicate with the production team to ensure that maintenance activities do not disrupt production processes
Work with the maintenance manager to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and improve equipment reliability

Note: All the duties are responsible may be changed according to the need of the department. Department Heads will be supervised and train as per the need.
