Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and review a dynamic and inquiry-based science curriculum in line with the school's international educational framework.
  • Create and deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons that align with the school's philosophy and cater to the diverse learning needs of lower secondary students.
  • Facilitate hands-on experiments, labs, and real-world applications to enhance students' practical understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Design and administer a variety of assessments to evaluate students' comprehension, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Tailor teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles, ensuring that each student is challenged and supported according to their abilities.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation and collaboration.
  • Incorporate relevant technology tools and resources to enrich the learning experience and prepare students for the digital age.
  • Actively participate in and support science-related extracurricular activities, including clubs, competitions, and field trips.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents, providing regular updates on students' progress, addressing concerns, and encouraging parental involvement in their child's education.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in science education, actively engaging in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the lower secondary level.
  • Familiarity with international curricula and educational standards.
  • Strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
